About Jon's Kitchen Tools Inc.
Jon's Kitchen Tools Inc. was founded on decades of experience in retail, product development, and international sourcing. Jon has traveled the world developing premium stainless steel products from Japan, Hong Kong, China, and across Europe. His dedication to quality and design helped create private label brands for major retailers for over 30 years.
After years of working behind the scenes developing products for others, Jon decided to bring his expertise directly to customers. He began showcasing his own line of high-quality flatware, kitchen tools, and knives — crafted from fine stainless steel in a variety of professional grades.
What began as a garage sale and small farmers market stand soon grew into a thriving business. Customers appreciated Jon's honesty, craftsmanship, and unbeatable prices. Professional chefs and home cooks alike quickly noticed the difference in a well-balanced, finely made kitchen knife — and word spread fast.
Today, Jon's Kitchen Tools operates at several popular Long Island markets. With lower overhead and direct-to-customer pricing, Jon is able to offer premium kitchen knives and tools at prices far below department stores.
Our Collection Includes:

Damascus Blades Explained
At the core of our Damascus blades is VG-10 steel — with a staggering Rockwell hardness of 60-63, offering optimum performance in sharpness and edge retention. The VG-10 center is protected (sandwiched) with 33 layers of stainless steel on each side, for a total of 67 layers. Some of our blades feature 73, 89, or 103 layers — among the very best in the world for kitchen knives.
Damascus blade patterns provide a non-stick surface, allowing for buttery smooth cuts. Each blade is the result of 40 different processes and 180 hours of grinding. Forging the layers requires 3 different kinds of steel, continuous welding, continuous layering, and forging — a true testament to the craft.
G-10 Handles Explained
G-10 is the designation for a glass-based epoxy (fiberglass) resin laminate. Glass-based cloth is soaked in epoxy resin, then compressed using heat and pressure into the shape of a handle. G-10 does not shrink and holds its form very well, ensuring dimensional stability. It does not absorb water and is virtually maintenance free — making it the ideal choice for a professional-grade kitchen knife handle.
